so lauren had an itch to get out of the city, and matt and i really wanted to go somewhere for Memorial Day, so we decided to head back to The Hamptons yesterday! it was a little bit different trip this time, we discovered some really cool  things and ate really good food and had lots of fun! 🙂

we drove through the different towns and just strolled down the main streets….

our first stop was Tate’s Bakeshop, where we picked up some goodies for later that day…

then we stopped by the Penny Candy Shop, that is for sale. matt has dreams of buying it and living in the Hamptons 🙂

we stopped in East Hampton to check out the swans in the pond. when matt and i were there a few weeks ago, the mama swan was sitting on her nest with the eggs. when we drove by yesterday look who came out to play!

we headed up towards montauk and stopped by the clam bar

we took our food to go, and stopped here

to eat our lunch in the car. we had quite the feast!

it was ALL delicious! worth the incredibly chaotic wait at the restaurant 🙂

we made our way to the montauk lighthouse…

and headed up the incredibly steep staircase…

it was a very cool museum, and here is a little model of all the lighthouses on long island. we drove from the statue of liberty ALL the way to the very end 🙂

after seeing all this glorious scenery, we headed back home…. enjoying our treats…
