weekend fun!

this weekend was very pleasant, exploring more of the city, getting to know our neighborhood better. we love it more and more each day 🙂 friday night we just layed low and hung out. saturday we went down to the hells kitchen flea market, with a stop on the way to saccos pizza(or as matt calls it, roccos) hes been telling me all about it, and it really was delish!

so then, matt took roxie out while i did the dishes, and he came running back in, saying the sunset was beautiful and had i to come see. so we walked towards the river, which we ahvent really explored yet. we took the pedestrian walkway underneath the city streets, and when we came out the other side, we discovered this….

we’d heard of the 79th st. boat basin (and seen it in You’ve Got Mail) but we had no idea what a magical little area it was! it might just be our new favorite hangout! 🙂

i just wanted to let you catch a little glimpse of our backyard. we share it with about 12 million other people, and its over 800 acres. (good thing we dont have to landscape it ourselves! :))

the reason i love central park is because every time i take a walk, i discover a different magical path to take. every twist and turn reveals a scene more charming than the last. here are some of the things ive seen on our last few walks…
